The
Best Park in Town! - Shaftesbury
Primary School, Newham |
|
This
is a scene from one of the plays
that the children devised about
the history of West Ham Park.
The boy sitting on the
chair is Dr Fothergill, the famous
botanist who owned the site in
the eighteenth century.
The two children who are standing
are his patients who have come
to see him because they are sick.
The boy on the right is Dr Fothergill's
servant. He is giving the doctor
a rare plant for his garden which
the patients have brought as payment
for their treatment. |
