Year 2 children visited the new playground at West Ham Park, which is near their school.

Before playing on all the playground equipment, they looked at it carefully and took digital photos of the slides, swings and climbing frames.

When they got back to school, they discussed what made a good playground with their teacher and Deborah Jarman, the London Parks Discovery Project Director.  They then used the photos to help them design a perfect playground on paper.

The final stage was to make models of their ideal playgrounds using card, sticks, plasticine and lots of other materials!
